Dripped Coffee is proud to be one of the most comprehensive websites for coffee news. From product reviews to buyer's guides to expert testimonials, we offer a little bit of everything in the world of java, and we're committed to providing excellence for our readers. We value the fact that so many people around the globe turn to us for facts and opinions.
We also value honesty. It's why we grind our own beans and brew our own roasts; it's why we personally test coffee brands before making recommendations. We even pay out of pocket to test scales, grinders, milk frothers and subscription boxes.
We couldn't do this without the support of readers like you. Additionally, we couldn't do it without trusted partners to help us run our site.
Amazon
Dripped Coffee is part of the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program.
Simply put, it's a program where we earn a commission every time when someone clicks an Amazon product on our website and decide to buy it.
This doesn't have any impact on the products that are being sold. It doesn't raise the price for you, and it doesn't affect our recommendations at all. It's just a way for us to earn a little extra money.
Let's say, for example, that we're comparing Coffee Maker A and Coffee Maker B. In our review, we could link to these products on the manufacturer's website, or we could link to a department store or coffee supply store.
With the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, however, we link to Amazon. It's a win-win situation for both of us. Amazon gets more traffic to their website; Dripped Coffee gets to generate a referral fee for promoting them.
Again, our participation in this program doesn't impact the honesty of our reviews. It has absolutely no bearing on prices, products, recommendations or brewing guides. We can link to a coffee maker and say "this thing is awful," and we'll still be doing our job as Amazon affiliates.
The only reason that we're disclosing our connection is because we believe in honesty and integrity. We don't want to hide anything from the people who visit our website.
Our reviews are open, fair and unbiased, and so is our brand.
Other Manufacturers
You might have noticed that some of our blog posts don't link to Amazon. This isn't a mistake. It's another type of affiliate marketing.
Let's revisit that hypothetical post where we're comparing Coffee Maker A and Coffee Maker B. Instead of linking to Amazon, we link to a third-party retailer. They're selling the products as well, and they give us a fee or some other kind of compensation whenever we send readers their way.
It works through the same principle as the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. We could have linked to a dozen different websites where the coffee makers are sold, but instead, we made a agreement with a specific brand to promote the coffee makers through their website.
It doesn't impact your shopping experience at all. The prices are the same on both affiliate and non-affiliate links. We don't try to trick or force you to use the affiliate links, either; they're presented in the exact same way as the non-affiliate links.
If you want to shop from our affiliates, that's great. If you don't want to, that's okay as well. We merely present the option for you.
Some companies don't bother disclosing their affiliate partnerships. Since it doesn't impact the consumer, they don't see the need for it.
Dripped Coffee is different. We believe in fair, impartial reviews of everything from bean grinders to coffee subscription services, and we apply that same level of honesty and objectivity to our affiliate programs.
We trust our readers. We trust that you'll understand how affiliate marketing works and why it's needed to keep us going.
